Articel Processing Charge

There are no submission or initial processing fees for manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Technology Informatics and Engineering (JTIE). However, for manuscripts that are accepted for publication, the following Article Processing Charges (APC) apply for manuscripts submitted on or after 1 August 2026:

  • USD 85 for international authors

  • IDR 1,500,000 for Indonesian authors

For manuscripts submitted before 1 August 2026, the previous APC policy will remain applicable, regardless of the publication date. All articles published in JTIE are Open Access and made freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers can view abstracts and download full-text articles in PDF format without any subscription or access barriers.

Purpose of APC

The APC helps cover the operational costs associated with maintaining high-quality editorial and publishing services, including:

  • Manuscript handling and peer review management

  • Copyediting and layout formatting

  • DOI registration and long-term digital archiving

  • Website maintenance and indexing services

As JTIE operates under an Open Access publishing model, APCs ensure that publication costs are not shifted to readers, thereby supporting free and equitable access to scientific knowledge.

Waiver Policy

To support global academic equity and encourage submissions from authors with limited funding, APC waivers or discounts may be granted on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:

  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (based on World Bank classification)

  • Independent researchers or students without institutional funding

  • Collaborative papers where all authors declare financial constraints

Authors who wish to request a waiver should submit a waiver application to the Editorial Office at the time of acceptance notification, along with a brief justification. Waiver decisions will not influence the editorial review outcome.
