Announcement of Template Update
Dear Authors, Researchers, and Contributors,
The Editorial Board of the Journal of Technology Informatics and Engineering (JTIE) announces the implementation of an updated manuscript template and author guidelines. This revision is introduced to improve manuscript consistency, methodological transparency, research reproducibility, and overall scholarly quality in line with current academic publishing practices.
The main updates include:
- Mandatory Research Transparency Declarations
The updated template now requires authors to include specific declarations regarding Data Availability, Declaration of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies, Author Contributions using the CRediT taxonomy, and Conflict of Interest. These statements are mandatory to improve transparency, accountability, and traceability of research contributions. - Updated Citation and Reference Style
JTIE now applies the IEEE citation and reference style. All in-text citations must use numbered references in square brackets, and the reference list must follow the order of citation. This change is intended to ensure consistency with common publishing practices in engineering, informatics, and technology-related disciplines.
These changes are introduced to ensure that manuscripts submitted to JTIE demonstrate stronger academic rigor, transparency, reproducibility, methodological clarity, and consistency in scientific reporting. The revised template is also expected to support a more efficient editorial and peer-review process by establishing clearer technical and scholarly requirements from the initial submission stage.
Effective from 01 September 2026 (Vol 5 No 3 December 2026), all new submissions to JTIE are required to use the latest manuscript template. Authors are strongly advised to download and use the updated template before submitting or revising their manuscripts. Manuscripts that do not comply with the current template and reporting requirements may be returned for technical revision before proceeding to peer review.
